Dragon's Dogma 2 Still Alive; Details May be Coming Soon

Capcom's Hideaki Itsuno has shed some light on the long-awaited sequel to Dragon's Dogma. According to the developer, work on the second installment of the popular RPG is in full swing, and gamers will probably soon learn some details.

For those who had doubts - Dragon's Dogma 2 is still in development. Capcom's project was first officially announced last June. At that time, we learned that the sequel will be powered by the same engine as Monster Hunter: Rise or Devil May Cry 5. Unfortunately, since then the developers have been stingy with any information about the work.

Fortunately, with help - albeit limited - came the game's director, Hideaki Itsuno, who, in an interview with Japanese website Famitsu revealed that he is very much engrossed in work on Dragon's Dogma 2. Most important, however, was the creator's assurance that the first details about the RPG will probably appear soon..

"I am currently engrossed in the production of Dragon's Dogma 2, so much so that I'm losing track of what time of year it is. Things are going well, so I hope to make further progress in the development of the game so that we can share an update with you as soon as possible," said Itsuno (via Gematsu).

Fans of the first installment of Dragon's Dogma certainly expected a bit more after several months of silence from the developers, but it is comforting to know that the project is still pushing forward. Therefore, we can't help but hope that the beginning of 2023 will give us the awaited information. Given Itsuno's words, this is highly likely.
