EA Shared Screenshots From Dead Space Remake

During today's live broadcast, Motive presented footage from the Dead Space remake. Apart from gameplay footage, the devs shared several graphics showing how the title looks like and comparing the original game with the upcoming production.

During today's live stream Motive Studios shared some footage from early production of Dead Space remake. The gameplay demonstration featured creative director Roman Campos-Oriola and senior producer Phillippe Ducharme, providing live commentary on the footage. The developers also showed direct comparisons with the original Dead Space from 2008. Apart from that, developers provided some interesting information about the upcoming game, i.e. what changes compared to original it will feature. More graphics from the remake are availalble in the album created by Reddit users.

In addition to the visual progress visible at first glance, the game's combat system has been improved. An important element of gameplay - dismembering of opponents - has also been improved. Now each of the protagonist's weapon modules will react with necromorph bodies to a varying degree.. Some of the available weapon variants will easily tear apart alien skin, while other weapons are great at tearing off entire limbs. The effect is particularly noticeable when comparing the damage inflicted by small calibre weapons to more powerful hardware.

What's more, the team responsible for the remake of Dead Space shared the news that Isaac Clarke (the protagonist) will be voiced by Gunner Wright. The actor previously performed in the role of the main character in the second and third installment of Dead Space and was warmly received by fans. It was also mentioned that in order to maintain full immersion during the exploration of the space station overrun by monsters Clarke will only speak during conversations with other survivors.

Remake of Dead Space will be released on Windows PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Although the exact release date has not been revealed, rumors suggest that the game will hit the market in 2022.
