EA Sports FC 26 will see the return of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who will appear on the cover of the Ultimate Edition. Tomorrow we will receive the first trailer for the game.
No year could go by without a new installment of the EA Sports FC series (formerly FIFA). As fall is approaching, Electronic Arts has revealed the first details about the upcoming EA Sports FC 26 - the player's name and image who will be on the cover of the Ultimate Edition.
This year, it's going to be Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the popular Swedish soccer player who played for A.C. Milan, FC Barcelona, PSG, and Juventus, and retired two years ago.
The announcement was published this morning, and it was signed with: "You asked. Zlatan is back." The star also posted on his X profile a message saying, "FC without Zlatan is not complete." "I'm back."
It's interesting to note that the cover is a nod to a photo of Ibrahimovic from his younger days, when he was inspired by the career of Ronaldo Luis Nazario de Lima. Fans seem to be mostly satisfied with the choice, although there are voices saying that for such a big company as EA, the cover doesn't look impressive and simply looks cheap.
Nonetheless, it was enough for many players to feel excited about the upcoming release of EA Sports FC 26. Fortunately, they won't have to wait long for the game presentation, as we will receive the first trailer today at 9:00 am PT.
Because previous installments of the series were released in the second half of September, we can safely assume that this time it will be the same. Electronic Arts is unlikely to abandon older consoles, so EA Sports FC 26 should be released on PC, PS4, PS5, XOne, XSX/S, NS1, and NS2.
