Endless Space Devs Announce Endless Dungeon

Amplitude Studios announced Endless Dungeon, a new game set in the universe known from the Endless Space series. The title was briefly presented on the first trailer.

We already had endless legends and space, and in a certain time we will also get to know (less endless?) Humankind. Now the time has come for a completely different, but equally endless work. We're talking about Endless Dungeon, the new game by Amplitude Studios, the devs of Endless Space and Endless Legend, revealed on the occasion of The Game Awards 2020. The announcement is accompanied by a short but atmospheric trailer, which you can watch below.

Although the 'dungeon' in the name may evoke associations with fantasy like in Endless Legend, the trailer clearly shows that the new game of the French studio will feature no magic and sword (unless powered by energy). Endless Dungeon will be a roguelike game in which we will lead three heroes (read: space castaways) forced to face endless hordes of enemies on a giant station. We can choose from a large group of characters with unique skills, but also history and "quirks". After equipping them, we set out to explore the nooks and crannies of the deserted station, trying to prevent the monsters from reaching our crystal.

Endless Dungeon will enable us to have fun both solo and in co-op or compete against friends. Nothing more has been revealed so far, but we should not wait long for further details. The game will launch in an unspecified future on Steam and PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch.
