Electronic Arts announced a testing platform named "Battlefield Labs" yesterday, intended as an "exclusive testing environment that links selected players with developers." Through it, players will be able to check out the upcoming Battlefield 7, and the first tests will take place in the coming weeks.
This allowed us to understand the significant interest generated by the new shooter from DICE studio, and it is definitely huge. Due to the fact that anyone interested can sign up for the tests, queues started to reach tens of thousands of people shortly after the launch of "Battlefield Labs."
Now, several hours later, it's even worse. One of our editors is currently almost 300,000th in line, and the system isn't even attempting to calculate how long he will have to wait. There is only a message simply saying: "more than an hour."

It's hard to predict how much time will pass before the registration is successful, but one of the players on Reddit reported that being in the 169,942nd position forced him to wait up to 12 hours. What's worse, even if you show enough patience, it doesn't mean that you will be able to sign up for the tests. As some people report, the site sometimes crashes at the last moment, only to be put back in the queue again.
However, it's worth noting that there is no need for the fastest registration, as EA has conveyed that the position won't affect the chances of gaining access to the tests. So you might as well wait a bit and try at a later date when the initial rush is over.
Yesterday's announcement of tests, in which we could see fragments of Battlefield 7 in the pre-alpha version, caused quite a lot of excitement among the series' fans. However, some of them attempt to slow down the hype train and point out how underdeveloped the recent installments were. On the other side, some believe that "Battlefield Labs" is a step in the right direction, which will allow the creators to develop a game closer to the players' vision.
