Bethesda briefly introduced the novelties that await Fallout 76 polayers in 2024. The next few months promise to be really rich, at least "on paper."

  1. In spring, we are expecting America's Playground - the second part of the Atlantic City update. It will introduce new tasks, locations and rewards, and players will come face to face with the legendary Jersey Devil.
  2. A map expansion awaits a little later. Bethesda plans to add areas in its southern part. These will be woodland areas modeled after the Shenandoah Valley, located on the border of Virginia and West Virginia. Along with them, the game will feature new quests, factions, rewards, etc.
  3. In addition, in 2024 Fallout 76 will not lack community-loved seasonal events. What's more, they are to be held even more frequently than in the past, and we can also expect completely fresh events.
  4. Bethesda also intends to add several new features and improvements that will benefit both fans of building and adventurers.

The developer also bragged about the numbers - albeit a tad lacking in precision. In more than five years that passed since the release of Fallout 76 in November 2023, on PC, PlayStation and Xbox the title has been played in total by:

  1. more than 16 million people, according to one sentence in the announcement in question;
  2. 17 million people in another sentence

Either way - this is a large number. Considering that out of nearly 94,000 reviews that Fallout 76 has received from the players on Steam, the positive ones account for 76%, and at the best time of the day the game attracts usually about 10-15 thousand people on Valve's platform, without hesitation it can be placed next to No Man's Sky or Cyberpunk 2077, i.e. among games that the developers skillfully fixed after a failed release.
