Fallout: The Frontier Mod Removed by Creators in Wake of Scandal

A long-awaited modification for Fallout: New Vegas called The Frontier has been removed because pedophilic material was found in possession of one of the developers.

Less than two weeks ago we informed about the release of The Frontier mod, a fan-made expansion for Fallout: New Vegas. The mod was released after several years of work and immediately won the hearts of players who appreciated the project's scope (15 hours of gameplay). The popularity of this work was so great that in the first hours after its release the servers of Nexus Mods got clogged. Today it is all history, because the mod was removed by the creators. Why? As it turns out, animated materials of pedophilic character were found on the private account of one of the developers working on the project.

Currently, on the page where we could have downloaded the mod, we will only find information that it has been hidden, as well as a statement from one of the creators, Jack "weijiesen" Wong.

"Some deeply concerning news has emerged in the past few hours. We have been recently notified that one of our developers, ZuTheSkunk, had posted animated pedophillic content on their personal artist accounts. The items in question are deeply disturbing to the entire team, and we condemn them in the strongest sense. ZuTheSkunk has since been removed from the Development Team and banned off of our Community Discord. We will be conducting dialogue with members of the development team to hear their thoughts regarding the current situation and help make our decision more informed. We have stopped production and work on the mod to address the current events properly. More measures will be undertaken and a more detailed address will be posted soon. The views, thoughts, and opinions expressed both in the mod, and outside of it, belong solely to the authors who write them, and not to the mod's organization, community, or other group or individual."

This is not the first controversy related to this project. A few days ago, a Reddit user pointed out the excessive fetishization of characters in the mod and exaggeration. Other players discovered that the mod enables us to force a teenage girl to be the protagonist's slave and that in one of the side quests we make contact with humanoid lizards who practice intercourse with humans. However, it wasn't until today's revelation that the short yet turbulent history of the mod has likely come to an end. It's unclear when or if the files will ever be brought back for download, and even if they are, whether the mod will still be available in its original form.
