First Genshin Impact Event Launches and Disappoints

The first event in Genshin Impact did not appeal to the players. Practically every aspect of it is criticized - the design, requirements and prizes.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  1. A co-op event took place in Genshin Impact.
  2. The community is not satisfied with it, criticizing pretty much every aspect.

The first cooperative event in Genshin Impact has met with a lot of criticism from the players. If we follow the discussion on Reddit, we can see that the community doesn't like virtually anything that MiHoYo has prepared.

Genshin Impact is very popular on smartphones as well as consoles and PCs. In November, the game will see a bigger update which will add a lot of new content to the game. Until then, the developers want to keep the players with temporary events. The first one - The Elemental Crucible - is available when we reach adventure rank 20 and complete all of the tasks from "Prologue: Act II - For a Tomorrow Without Tears" and the "One Giant Step for Alchemy?" mission available from Timaeus.

However, the response of the Genshin Impact community is not positive. There have been complaints about the cost of resin being too high to unlock all the prizes (which are also criticized), and the lack of idea for a decent plot line. The whole thing takes a few minutes, according to some people, and consists of collecting trash in the game. A confusion also arose at the launch date of the event. MiHoYo did not specify it and some people were surprised that they do not see any news yet.

There were also voices that spoke outright - if this event is to be an indicator of the direction in which Genshin Impact will go, the game will end up poorly.

Genshin Impact was released on September 28 on PC, PlayStation 4 and mobile devices as a free-to-play game. The title is also to be released on Switch.
