We know when Summer Game Fest 2025 takes place. Geoff Keighley prepares us for a long showcase of games from more than 40 different publishers.
It's been almost two months since The Game Awards 2024, the last major game show where awards were given for the best games of the past year. The next event of this type, full of upcoming titles, will be Summer Game Fest 2025. Similar to TGA, the initiator and host of the summer event is Geoff Keighley. Today, the journalist confirmed the exact date of this year's Summer Game Fest.
The showcase will take place on Friday, June 6th, and will be broadcast live from Los Angeles. Those interested will be able to watch the Summer Game Fest 2025 on YouTube and Twitch.
Probably - drawing from past SGF editions - the main event, featuring many new games from both major studios and indie developers, will take about 2 hours. Geoff Keighley announced that during the stream we will see titles from "over 40 leading publishers."
Lots of exciting things ahead as we continue to build SGF to support the video game industry and fans around the world - wrote Geoff Keighley.
Besides the main showcase, the highlight of which will be upcoming titles, Summer Game Fest will include “Play Days” (June 7-9) and a new business event for media and influencers, designed to give insight into some of “the key changes, challenges and opportunities facing the video game industry.”
So far, it has not been revealed which specific games we will see during SGF 2025. But we may expect materials from such titles as GTA 6, Mafia: The Old Country or Borderlands 4.
