GOG Galaxy Update; New Customization Options and Wishlist

The GOG Galaxy app has received a small yet significant update called Proteus. It adds customization options and makes changes to user wishlists.

After the announcement a kind of return to the roots, the owners of GOG.com decided to go a step further and expand the options for personalization of user accounts as part of the Proteus update [in Polish].

First of all, the ability to customize the "Recent" view has been introduced. Thanks to this it is possible to add, remove and arrange widgets according to our preferences.

And what else?

  • Wishlists are now displayed in the left menu, so they are always available at our fingertips.
  • A separate page has been added where all the DLC that we own are displayed. This should make managing them easier.
  • Last and probably least important - under the gear icon ("Settings") the app now has the "Check for updates" button. It does exactly what the signature suggests, namely verifies that the installed version of the GOG Galaxy app is the latest one that exists.

And that's it. As I wrote, the changes made are quite small, but they can positively affect the use of the service.
