Golden Glow for Rare Achievements in New Steam Library

The new design of Steam library offers an interesting feature. All the in-game achievements that were unlocked by less than 10% of their owners, were spectacularly highlighted.

In the PC gaming community there are many enthusiasts of Steam achievements. Unlocking them gives the community an extra challenge and an excuse to stay in the game for longer. Now, thanks to the new design of Steam library, whose beta was launched earlier this week, unlocking new achievements should be even more satisfying. As it is in the new version, the rarest of them, which were unlocked by less than 10% of the owners of a given production, were spectacularly highlighted. If we get them all, we will get a blue badge in the progress bar. What is important, it is visible not only to us, but also to our friends, which is a great opportunity to show off your skills and dedication. Attention! This novelty is not available on Steam pages devoted strictly to achievements. If you go there, everything will look the same.

And what rare achievements can you boast of?

The effect of highlighting achievements on game cards can be turned off. Just select Low Performance Mode in the Steam application settings in the Library section.

In addition, the new design of the library on Valve's platform offers, among other things, clear information about updates and events in the game, the ability to quickly return to the previously started title and easier tracking of the last activity of friends. For more details about these functions, refer to this message. If you want to see for yourself how it all works in action, you need to expand the Steam menu at the top left of the app, select Settings, and then select the Account tab. This is where you will find the Beta Testing Participation section. Expand it and select Steam Beta Update. Then you just need to confirm the changes, restart the application, wait a while for the update to download, and you can enjoy the new look of the library.
