IN A NUTSHELL:

  1. Unihertz has announced the Jelly 2 - a decent, compact smartphone;
  2. It is to be the successor to the 2017 Jelly and will be better in every respect (including components, display and battery);
  3. The device will be launched in December this year, and its production will be partially financed by a fundraiser on Kickstarter.

Chinese company Unihertz has announced the Jelly 2 smartphone - a device dedicated to people who do not like big phones but do not want to give up reasonable quality of components and modern operating system. The device will be the successor of the Jelly from 2017 (several more Atom and Titan series phones have appeared on the way). As in the case of that smartphone, the manufacturing will be partially financed thanks to a fundraiser on Kickstarter (interestingly, although there are still 28 days left until the end of collection, the company has already managed to collect almost twelve times the required amount of 50 thousand dollars).

Jelly versus Jelly 2.

The Jelly 2 will be better than its predecessor in every way - it will have a bigger and much improved display (3" and almost twice the resolution - 854x480), a much bigger battery (2000 mAh), a 16-megapixel rear camera (plus 8 Mpx at the front), and decent components (MediaTek Helio P60 processor, 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of user file space). The whole thing will work on Android 10, and in the future it will receive an update to the current version 11. It is also worth noting that the hardware will be only slightly larger than the first version of Jelly (95 x 49.4 x 16.5 millimeters, at 110 grams).

The Jelly 2 smartphone will be launched in December this year at a retail price of 199 dollars. It is worth noting that by supporting the creators on Kickstarter it can be purchased with a 35% discount (the price is then 129 dollars). Below we will find some photos of the device.
