Hades 2 just took a big step towards 1.0 release. The Unseen Update puts the final touches on fighting styles
The release of Hades 2 is fast approaching. The latest update brings many fixes, and the Supergiant Games studio is preparing to put the final touches and finish Melinoë's story.
Fans of Supergiant Games studio's game can rub their hands - with the latest update, Hades 2 has taken a significant step towards full release. The Unseen Update is packed with new content and improvements that bring us closer to version 1.0. The devs openly talk about entering the final phase of development, which involves working on the completion of Melinoë's story, introducing achievements, and making the final touches.
- Thanks to the update, the protagonist's main arsenal received new (final) fighting styles that can be unlocked. The system of using the Umbral Flames weapon has also been refreshed.
- In Oath of the Unseen, we can face stronger guardians after using the Vow of Rivals.
- Challenges will be facilitated by Godsent Hexes, which allow us to strengthen the magic of Selene's curses with the power of Olympians.
- The creators have shortened the time between enemy waves in regular battles. Also, the close-range attacks we perform are no longer blocked by some obstacles, so they hit the enemies hiding behind them. Many hits that used to stun our character have also changed - from now on, they only slow her down.
- The Unseen Update introduces optional events, allowing players to strengthen bonds with some characters from the game world.

Hades 2 is a roguelike, which has been available on PC as part of early access since May 6, 2024. As announced by Supergiant Games studio, the title is also set to hit the Nintendo Switch 2 console, but the game's release date remains a mystery.
