Halls of Torment is a demanding game where each chapter ends with a bossfight. In this article you will learn how to deal with the final boss of the first chapter - Lord of Pain.
As the name suggests, Halls of Torment is not a chill game. It requires concentration and moderate game knowledge. Its core mechanics focus on the death cycle and getting progressively stronger. Currently the title features 3 chapters with final boss at the end of each. They are true test of strength and resolve, and even the first chapter boss – Lord of Pain is not an easy opponent. There are ways to facilitate this fight, so stay awhile and read if you want to gain such wisdom.
Lord of Pain fight consists of two phases. In the first the boss will be mounted on his steed and in the second one he will fight afoot.
Be careful as Lord of Pain gets stronger with passing time. The longer the fight is, the harder the boss becomes!
Lord of Pain has huge health pool in addition to his ability to get stronger in time. This will require a lot of damage and well-constructed build in order to dispose of him. If you are struggling against him, there is a way to halve his health pool for each phase – collecting a Token of Pain. You can learn more about it in this article.
Another thing that will help you with avoiding all of his attacks is investing in traits that will increase your Movement Speed. As the fight can be dragging, Health Regeneration is also worth your time.
The last thing that can help you in this fight is a proper character selection. According to many, Sorceress is a really good choice. She has healthy damage output while she also offers the highest base movement speed that can be further complimented by choosing proper upgrades.
