After solving clues like “Naan, focaccia, pita, matzo, bhatura,” “Dense area of trees,” and “Bring bug [blank]!”, it’s time for a kitchen-themed hint. So if you’re having problems with “Cover a turkey in its juices with a [blank],” scroll down for the answer.
If you’ve ever made a Thanksgiving dinner, you likely have this one in your kitchen:
A baster is a kitchen tool used primarily for moistening food while cooking, especially meat like turkey or roast. It usually consists of a long tube or nozzle attached to a rubber bulb or squeeze handle. You squeeze the bulb to suck up cooking juices, sauces, or melted fat from the pan. Then you squirt or pour those juices back over the meat to keep it moist and flavorful during roasting.
The kitchen baster as we know it was invented in the early 20th century, though the exact date and inventor are a bit unclear. Rubber bulbs for various household and medical uses became common in the late 1800s and early 1900s, so the baster likely emerged around that time as a specialized kitchen tool.

Been with gamepressure.com since 2019, mostly writing game guides but you can also find me geeking out about LEGO (huge collection, btw). Love RPGs and classic RTSs, also adore quirky indie games. Even with a ton of games, sometimes I just gotta fire up Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley, KOTOR, or Baldur's Gate 2 (Shadows of Amn, the OG, not that Throne of Bhaal stuff). When I'm not gaming, I'm probably painting miniatures or admiring my collection of retro consoles.
