IO Interactive has announced Hitman: Blood Money - Reprisal. The project, developed in cooperation with Feral Interactive, will be a refresh of the fourth installment of the stealth game series (originally released in 2006) as part of the 25th anniversary celebration of the developer's existence. You can watch the game's trailer below.

If you're expecting another remaster for PC and the latest consoles, we have to disappoint you. Blood Money - Reprisal will be released in the fall on mobile devices (Android / iOS), to be followed by a winter release on Nintendo Switch. No exact release dates have been announced as of yet.

The trailer's description also mentions that the game will be enhanced with elements absent from the original, including a new minimap and instinct mode known from later installments of the series. In addition, the Android and iOS version will allow for customized touchscreen controls and even the use of a computer mouse and keyboard in the game. As of yet, it has not been confirmed whether any of these innovations will make their way to the Hitman: Blood Fortune version for other platforms (PC, PS4, XOne).

The series' next visit to mobile devices is just one of the attractions prepared by the developer. IO Interactive has released an infographic showing news related to the studio's 25th anniversary. In addition to Blood Money - Reprisal the developers are organizing a handful of events as part of Hitman 3 (or Hitman: World of Assassination, as the developers prefer to call the game today, having transformed it into a platform combining the content of the latest three installments of the series), primarily challenges that reward players with special outfits.
