Honkai: Star Rail is a hugely popular free game from the devs of the iconic Genshin Impact. In the game we traverse a world full of details, meet interesting characters, strengthen them and perform various tasks. The title has just received a major update 1.1, and in this guide, you will learn when to expect chat in HSR and how to add players to friend list.

The chat is now in the game. Developers added today the awaited feature.
How to use Chat in HSR
Chatting with friends is quite easy, you just need to:
- Click the phone icon, which is located in the upper left corner of the screen,
- Select Friends,
- Then My Friends,
- Click on your friend and select the chat option.
Adding friends in HSR
In order to chat with someone, you will first need to add them to your friends list. To do this, you need to:
- Go to the phone icon, which is located in the upper left corner of the screen,
- Select Friends,
- Then enter the plus icon,
- Here the proposed people will be displayed. If you want to add someone you know, you must have their UID number and enter it in the designated space. The UID number is displayed at the top of the menu, after clicking on the phone icon.
Chat in HSR – Old news
Update 1.1 for Honkai Star Rail has introduced quite a few new features. Examples include playable characters, such as Silver Wolf and Luocha, and events. Also in the future, we will see the addition of one of the most awaited options, the in-game chat. At the moment there is none and we do not know exactly when such an option will appear. As we can read in the patch notes it is necessary to wait for information from developers regarding the precise date.
