Full version of Baldur's Gate 3 debuted yesterday and instantly attracted hundreds of thousands of players. During your adventure you will encounter a number of companions. One of them is a dog named Scratch, whom you meet during Act 1. In the course of the gameplay you will build a relationship with the dog and will be able to play fetch with it. In this guide you will learn how to do it.

Baldur's Gate 3 - how to play the ball with Scratch?

After you "recruit" Scratch, it will move to your camp. There you will be able to interact with it. After a while, you will find that the dog has a ball (you will have to be patient and "talk" to him often). You can take it to him. Whether you succeed, however, depends on a skills check. If it is successful, you will gain the toy and can throw it to your four-legged friend - remember to use the Throw action for this.

You must also bear in mind that the ball found in the game world will not enable you to play with Scratch. You should therefore wait for the pet to bring you a toy on its own.

Baldur's Gate 3 - how to recruit Scratch?

Scratch is located not far from the bridge leading to Blighted Village. You will encounter the dog as he guards the body of his now dead owner. You can convince the dog to abandon his companion and go with you. This will require you to perform certain actions. You will find detailed instructions on this subject on the following page of our guide:
