Quartz is one of minerals available in Cubic Odyssey. Locating it can be tricky though. In this guide we will tell you where to find it.
Have you ever wondered what would happen if Minecraft and No Man's Sky were combined? If so, you now have the answer – Cubic Odyssey. This open world game is not the biggest hit on Steam but still gathered quite big playerbase. Looking at SteamDB, we can see that, at its peak, this cubic world was explored by more than 3,500 people. Some of them, however, might wonder where to find quartz. Let’s find it together.
When it comes to resources in Cubic Odyssey, Quartz is a tier 3 mineral. On Bardwell 1, where your journey begins, you can only find deposits of tier 1 and 2 resources. Quartz doesn't appear on this planet naturally. However, you can still find this material there – search crates and meteor strike sites. Unfortunately, it’s pure RNG - there is no guarantee that this mineral will spawn in these places.
Meteorite Strikes are very useful at the beginning of the game. You can find many different resources at their sites. So, it’s worth visiting them, even when you don’t look for quartz.
If you want a more reliable source of quartz, you should go to Bardwell 2. This planet has deposits of many different resources. To make searching easier, you can use QB-1 to scan the environment and locate tier 3 resources.
Of course, finding quartz can be easier if you have someone to help you. Games like Cubic Odyssey are much better when you have a friend to play with. I must admit – even as boring activities as farming resources are quite fun then. Cubic Odyssey supports co-op, but right now it is not working as intended. Players report many different bugs like randomly kicking people out, disappearing loot or enemies visible only to one player. On top of that, many players don’t like the current implementation of this mode.
So, playing Cubic Odyssey in co-op can be frustrating right now. There is good news, though – developers announced that they are working to fix multiplayer.
