How to start new Expedition 17 Titan in NMS

As always, people from Hello Games surprised fans. Without a warning they have released a massive update to No Man’s Sky. Worlds part 2 introduces many new features, new planets, missions and more. Moreover, developers promised a new Expedition, called Titan. Sadly, it is not live yet. However, it will be available soon.

When to expect Expedition 17 Titan in NMS

While developers from Hello Games announced the new Expedition, they have mentioned only that it will be available soon. What does it mean? Taking into consideration that the previous one, The Cursed, is still ongoing and it will be finished in 6 days, we can assume that the fresh adventure will be available around that time. Of course, it is not written in stone, but it seems probable, taking into consideration how much we know about it.

Most of our knowledge is from the rewards, which were revealed. We will get a unique Pillar of Titan Staff and Titan Stripes paint style for our ship. The biggest prize will be a new starship, though, called The Wraith. It’s description is intriguing:

Looking at the staff and ship, we can assume that in the new Titan Expedition, developers will show us fresh locations added to the game in the Worlds part 2 update. We will definitely visit the depths of the ocean world and abandoned relic planets.

Traditional Way of Starting Expedition 17 Titan in NMS

While the Titan Expedition is not yet available, let’s remind new and returning players how to start it at all. The first option is to begin a fresh challenge without any boosts from your main account.

1. Start the game and choose Join Friends or Play.
2. Now, click the New Game below your save list.
3. Next, click the Community Expedition window in the lower right corner of the screen. Watch out though, if you see The Cursed there (or nothing), the Titan Expedition is not live yet. You will have to wait longer.

New Way of Starting Expedition 17 Titan in NMS

For some time now, we can also start Expeditions from the main save by preparing a loadout. While you will still have to purchase the goods, it will make your travel easier.

1. Visit Anomaly on your main save.
2. Find Expedition Terminus.
3. Choose your loadout (items which will be transferred to the Expedition).
4. Start the Titan Expedition. To collect your items, you will have to visit Anomaly once again.
