Hunt: Showdown Reaches New Heights of Popularity

Hunt: Showdown is currently enjoying record popularity among players on Steam. This is undoubtedly due in large part to the Serpent Moon event and the new DLC, The Prescient Night, but most importantly - the devs at Crytek.

The further away from the release of Hunt: Showdown, the bigger the popularity of this online game from Crtyek. When it was released on PC in 2019, it was played simultaneously by about 13,000 Steam users. In recent days, specifically on July 27, 2022, over 38 thousand concurrent users were playing. This is the highest recorded result in the title's nearly three-year history, as well as in the early access period that preceded it.

Serpent Moon event

The reasons for the growing interest in Hunt: Showdown should be attributed to the updates that Crytek regularly releases. Many of them include time-limited events, and one such event started on July 27, which largely explains the increased community activity.

We are talking about the biggest ever event in Hunt: Showdown, Serpent Moon, whose various attractions - such as a new legendary hunter (Viper), unique weapons, equipment and the eponymous period - are presented by the trailer below.

It is worth mentioning that some of the event rewards can only be obtained for a fee, as part of a battle pass (the so-called battle pass) The Gilded Path. The event will last for two months - until September 26 until 16:00 Polish time - and, of course, console players can also take part.

New DLC

Significantly, the day before the start of the event, Crytek has released a new paid DLC for Hunt: Showdown - The Prescient Night. So it can be said that the developer regularly meets the expectations of the community, which is constantly looking forward to fresh content.

Discounts and streamers

Not without significance are also frequent discounts for the base game and DLCs, enabling us to buy them at relatively low prices, as well as the fact that gameplay from Hunt: Showdown is regularly broadcast by popular streamers - such as, for example jackfrags. All this translates into the game's growing success, which could hardly be taken for granted on the day of its release.
