Tonight marks the debut of Ixion, a charming strategy game about managing a space station.
This week strategy fans have no reasons to complain. Yesterday marked the debut of Knights of Honor II: Sovereign and the commercial version of Dwarf Fortress, and today the battlefield for the favor of fans of the genre will be joined by IXION. In the game we will manage a large station, traversing space in search of a new home for humanity after the annihilation of Earth.
IXION will provide a more realistic approach to the issue of managing a space station than in most competing games on the subject. On top of that, the game will emphasize survivalist elements, forcing us to manage resources and energy sparingly, as well as deal with hazards such as hull leaks.
It is worth mentioning that IXION has an excellent soundtrack, which you can listen to on Spotify and YouTube.
