New Terminator Movie Will be Made; Cameron Wants to Use Modern Themes
James Cameron announced that he had begun writing the script for the new Terminator movie some time ago. However, the creator of the iconic series has put his work aside for some surprising reason.

A few days ago, after Arnold Schwarzenegger announced that he would never again play the role of the legendary T-800, surely many Terminator fans abandoned hopes for the creation of further installments of the series. Meanwhile, some encouragement for their hearts came from the creator of the franchise himself - James Cameron.
As reported byGames Radar, the famous director recently took part in Dell Technologies World. During the event, Cameron revealed that three months ago he had already begun work on the script for a new movie.
However, do not expect an imminent premiere, as the filmmaker added that he has interrupted his work. Interestingly, the reason for this is not Cameron's busy schedule, but... a desire to see how artificial intelligence will develop in the real world. Unfortunately, the filmmaker did not reveal whether the eventual work would be a continuation of the existing series or a reboot.
Recall that the last time the director made a statement on the subject of refreshing the franchise at the end of 2022. At that time, Cameron revealed that some talks had already been undertaken about a reboot of the series. The filmmaker also added that if he were to tackle a reboot of Terminator, he would pay more attention to the AI itself than to Skynet's cyborgs.
Recall that the original Terminator from 1984 not only launched James Cameron's career, but also made a star out of Arnold Schwarzenegger. This low-budget sci-fi thriller turned out to be a huge hit. In 1991 we got the seuqel, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, which to this day is considered one of the best movies in the history of its genre. Unfortunately, the next four installments no longer found such recognition among fans.
