We have good news for fans of John Romero's work. The legendary creator, who worked on such titles as Doom or Quake, is not giving up after a not very warm reception of Empire of Sin and announces another project. On the developer's official Twitter profile, an announcement was made about his company's hiring staff in connection with work on a new game.

The aforementioned post informs about the search for employees for Romero Games in connection with the development of a first-person shooter (FPS). However, it will not be anything related to Doom or Quake, but an entirely new IP. What is worth noting, various developers are sought, but the most desirable are those who are familiar with Unreal Engine 5, because it is the technology that will power the game.

Romero's big comeback?

John Romero has several high-profile titles in his portfolio, including one that he would rather not brag about. We are talking here about Daikatana, of course. Despite the fact that this game has not received general acclaim among the fans, its creator is still considered one of the most recognizable developers in the game industry.. He recently reminded us of himself with an additional level to Doom II, which he developed 28 years after the release of the aforementioned title. The proceeds from its sale were donated to support Ukraine.
