The Riftbreaker Just Got a Ton of New Content

The Riftbreaker has received a major update, bringing a number of new features to the game - including a previously unseen biome. In addition, the Metal Terror story DLC has been released.

The Riftbreaker was released in October last year and met with a warm reception from the players. So it's no surprise that the developers continue to develop the title. As announced, today the game received The World Expansion, which includes two components - a free update and a paid DLC titled Metal Terror.

The update introduces to The Riftbreaker a brand new biome - Metallic Valley - along with a new scenario for the survival mode. In addition, more creature species and weapons such as the Lightning Gun, Heavy Plasma Cannon and the power saw have been brought to the game. Morphium technology has also appeared.

The update itself also introduces a number of minor improvements that will make the game easier to play. Among them we'll find the ability to repair and upgrade equipment on a massive scale, as well as improved floor creation mechanics.

The paid DLC Metal Terror further expands the environment introduced by the update described above, as it implements an entirely new chapter of the story campaign. The planet Galatea 37 is haunted by an unusual astronomical phenomenon, as a result of which a fragment of the globe is exposed. The game's main character, Ashley, decides to explore the area.

The DLC also introduces more enemy types and the ability to use resources found in the new region to unlock previously unavailable technologies.
