Leak Reveals AMD Ryzen 9 3950X - First 16-core Processor For Gamers

The slide from the planned AMD presentation on E3 2019, which was received by VideoCardz, revealed the existence of another Ryzen 3000 series processor - the powerful 16-core Ryzen 9 3950X.

Another processor from the Ryzen 3000 family.

During this year's Computex Fair, AMD presented the long-awaited processors from the Ryzen 3000 family. The units were received by the industry very enthusiastically, but it's not all to the story - the concern did not present the strongest, 16 core model, which often appeared in various rumors. It seems, however, that the hardware does exist and will be presented during AMD's panel on E3 2019 (the night of June 10-11) - VideoCardz service reached the slide from the presentation showing the Ryzen 9 3950X CPU.

The processor will be able to handle 32 threads at the same time. The model boasts 3.5 GHz clock, which in Boost mode increases to 4.7 GHz (not for all 16 computing units, of course). The CPU has 72 MB of total cache and its TDP is 105W (which in theory makes it the most energy efficient 16 core on the market). Interestingly, the hardware is presented as a product dedicated to gamers - it is going to be the first gaming processor with such a large number of cores.

Unfortunately, the leak does not reveal the price and release date, although it can be expected that the processor will enter the market in July, along with the rest of the Ryzen 3000 line.
