Has nostalgia got you once again? Soon, you will build a Game Boy out of bricks. Of course, it's a version without sound effects and moving pictures, but still very graceful.
There's no denying that LEGO simply loves nostalgia. Models related to Star Wars, legendary spacecraft from the space race era and silhouettes of iconic Transformers characters - all and more are available in their collection. However, it will soon be expanded with another model aimed at those who love to go back to the past - the Game Boy, no. 72046.
We will have to wait for its release though, as it has been announced for October 1, 2025. The brick console will be priced at €59.99 and will include 421 pieces. An additional bonus is that it includes nostalgic cartridge replicas featuring Super Mario or The Legend of Zelda games.

This set is 14 cm in height and 9 cm in width. The model comes with interactive details, so we can also symbolically play it - just like the good old days. The buttons on the brick console are functional - you can press the +Control Pad, the A and B buttons, SELECT and START, along with the knobs for adjusting contrast and volume - all faithfully recreated in the model.
It also includes a symbolic slot for Game Packs. The model also includes interchangeable lens screens, designed to be attached to the recreated Game Boy to give the impression of it being in use. The whole thing can be placed on a dedicated stand to make it look better on the shelf.

If you too have been hit by a wave of nostalgia (just like the internet users at the sight of a prototype of a certain skybox fantasy FPS), be sure to give it a shot.
