In a few hours, we will see the release of Like a Dragon: Ishin!, a samurai spin-off to Sega's popular series. It's a remake of Yakuza Ishin from 2014, which never lived to see an English-language version. Fans have been asking the publisher for years to make the game available outside Japan, and today the company will finally grant that wish.
The web has already been flooded with reviews of the game. On Opencritic Like a Dragon: Ishin! has an average rating of 81%. Reviewers praise the storyline, atmosphere and gameplay mechanics. It is also often stated that it is the perfect installment to start your the adventure with the series. The criticism is mainly that the changes are too small compared to the original.

Everything indicates that it was worth waiting for Like a Dragon: Ishin. Hopefully the game will be a success and thus encourage Sega to develop a remake of Yakuza: Kenzan!. This is another samurai spin-off of the series, released in 2008 for the PlayStation 3. It too never lived to see an English release.
