If you’re struggling with “round white nut associated with Hawaii,” don’t stress. We have the answer to this Cookie Jam Buzzword right here.
The weekend’s finally here, and you know what that means: it’s time for another round of Buzzwords in Cookie Jam. Once again, we’re tackling food-themed questions, and it’s already off to a tasty start. First up was “Unleavened flatbread from India,” and now we’re moving on to “round white nut associated with Hawaii.” So if you’re stuck on this one, I’m here to help.
Hawaii’s known for a few different nuts, but only one of them is nine letters long – and that’s your answer:
Macadamia nuts are those rich, buttery little guys that grow on macadamia trees. They actually come from Australia originally, but funny enough, they’ve become very tied to Hawaii. The trees were brought over in the 1880s, and thanks to the island’s volcanic soil and tropical vibes, they really thrived. By the 1950s, Hawaii became a leading producer of macadamia nuts and pretty much put them on the global map.
These days, places like South Africa and Australia produce more of them, but Hawaii is still known for growing top-notch macadamias. Just a heads-up though, while they’re a tasty treat for us, they’re very toxic to dogs, even in small amounts. So if you’ve got pets around, definitely keep them out of reach.
Now that we’ve cracked this clue, don’t forget to check out our other Cookie Jam guides if you’re stuck on more Buzzwords. We’ve got you covered on tricky ones like “Sicilian cookie made with pine nuts,” “A. C. D3. E. K2. B12,”and plenty more.

Been with gamepressure.com since 2019, mostly writing game guides but you can also find me geeking out about LEGO (huge collection, btw). Love RPGs and classic RTSs, also adore quirky indie games. Even with a ton of games, sometimes I just gotta fire up Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley, KOTOR, or Baldur's Gate 2 (Shadows of Amn, the OG, not that Throne of Bhaal stuff). When I'm not gaming, I'm probably painting miniatures or admiring my collection of retro consoles.
