Update
One of the users of our forum, vorimenn, informed us about the fact that two additional gameplay fragments have appeared on the web (you can watch them here and here). The videos were released as part of the Windows Insider program.
On Reddit, a short video presenting a gameplay from Microsoft Flight Simulator was published. We already knew that the game will look amazing, and the posted material, on which we see a flight in the rain, only confirms it. You can watch the video here.
It is worth noting that Microsoft Flight Simulator will receive full support for modifications, and other teams will be able to create their own commercial add-ons. The game world will be built with petabytes of data, and the necessary files will be downloaded from the cloud on the fly. The game is slated for release next year on PC and Xbox One.
