Only the previously stated date for the replacement of Xbox Live Gold with Xbox Game Pass Core is not correct - this will take place on September 14 (Games with Gold program will end on September 1).. New games will be added to the service 2-3 times a year.

There are many indications that big changes are being prepared for the Xbox Live Gold subscription. The source of this information is the usually very well-informed website Windows Central, which, however, quickly removed the article on the subject. Therefore, the following information should be approached with caution.

1. According to these reports, on September 1, the Xbox Live Gold subscription (which enables you to play online and gain access to free games as part of Games with Gold) will be eliminated, and its subscribers will be transferred to the new Xbox Game Pass Core service.
2. The price of Xbox Game Pass Core will be the same as Xbox Live Gold - around $7 per month.
3. Xbox Game Pass Core is expected to offer access to online gameplay and more than 25 games from Game Pass (and more will be added regularly), as well as discounts in the Microsoft Store.
4. The entire Games with Gold program will be discontinued, but games acquired during it will be added to users' accounts.
