How to Recruit Flay in Jagged Alliance 3 (JA3)

Jagged Alliance 3 is a turn-based strategy game in which you take on the role of a group of mercenaries. Your task is to find the country’s president and restore order in Grand Chien. In addition to soldiers, who you can hire through the Browser, it is also possible to meet unique ones, which are obtainable by doing quests. One of these is Flay. In our guide, we will explain step by step what you need to do to recruit him.

How to recruit Flay in Jagged Alliance 3

Flay can become a valuable acquisition to your group of soldiers. Not only is he a very good marksman, but on top of that, he doesn't charge a weekly wage. To include this mercenary in your squad, you must do the following:

1. In order to access the recruitment option with Flay, one of your squad members must have a Wisdom stat of 90 or higher. If you don’t have anyone, hire Barry for a few days.
2. Visit Poacher Camp in sector C5, kill all Legion’s soldiers, and speak to the leader of the "Hyena" group. He will tell you about Flay and the fact that he kills poachers.
3. Find 3 poacher corpses and interact with them. The first one is in sector C6 and the next two in B4. After that, Flay will appear. You can start a dialogue with him.
4. Choose friendly and understanding dialogue options. Ask why he is doing it and tell him that it would be good to stop it.
5. At a key point, select a dialogue option: "Want to hunt for us?". This will allow Flay to join your team. Otherwise, he will hunt Legion alone.
