Minecraft 1.18 - New Snapshot Improves Biome Generation

A new experimental snapshot has been released for Minecraft. This time we will see improved biome generation, a slightly different look at the mountains and many more smaller changes.

One of the most popular games in the world - Minecraft from Mojang - is developing rapidly. Recently, we got the first snapshot of the second part of the Caves & Cliffs update, and today (a week later) we received access to the next, this time experimental, snapshot. The snapshot introduces slightly less content than the previous one, and the changes are mostly technical. NThe game features new mountains, updated caves and completely fresh, improved terrain generation system. The list of all changes can be found here, while the test version can be downloaded here.

So far, in Minecraft there were a lot of new features, and they could collide with each other. For example, some biomes appeared in an unnatural environment - swamps between snow mountains or desert. Now, the geographical location of all areas will be more correct and in line with reality. Unfortunately, the test version suffers from some technical issues, due to which the snapshot was released as experimental, and the installation is a bit more complicated than before. Instructions for implementing the new build of the game can be found on the website describing the changes in the snapshot.

Second part of the Caves & Cliffs update for Minecraft is expected to be released in late 2021.
