NetherRealm revealed details of the upcoming beta test of Mortal Kombat 1 for those who pre-ordered the game.
- The tests will begin on Friday, August 18 at 5:00 p.m. CET, and will last until Monday, August 21 (ending at 5:00 p.m. as well).
- It is worth noting that although the game codes will be activated earlier, access to the game will only be possible from the designated date and time.
- The trial version will be available only to those who pre-ordered the game on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.
- It will not matter which edition you order. Preorders of the Standard, Premium or Kollector's editions will provide access to testing.
- Those who pre-ordered the game digitally will automatically get access to beta testing on their console. On the other hand, those who pre-ordered through the boxed versions from retailers will receive codes, which they will have to activate on their Warner Bros. Games.
- In the beta, players will be able to compete in one-on-one multiplayer and the limited single-player Klassic Towers mode against AI-controlled opponents.
- Progress made during the beta test will not be transferred to the full version of the game upon its release.
Mortal Kombat 1 is being developed for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X. The release is scheduled for September 19, this year.
