Mortal Kombat 12 is Official; Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 8 Are in for a Bloody Battle

Mortal Kombat 12 got an unexpected announcement. The source of the information turned out to be an investor meeting of Warner Bros. The publisher is counting on the commercial success of the new installment of the iconic fighting game.

We have good news for fans of Mortal Kombat. As reported by youtuber Valliant Renegade, representatives of Warner Bros. announced that the twelfth installment of the series will debut later this year. The company made the announcement in an unusual way - during an investor meeting. The exact release date was not provided, but NetherRealm, called on with this move, should take up the topic in the coming days, and thus we may soon learn additional details.

Mortal Kombat 12 - work in progress

The subject of Mortal Kombat 12 surfaced during an investor call with Warner Bros. representatives, while discussing the sales success of the publisher's last, well-received game. We are, of course, talking about Hogwarts Legacy. At the time it was announced that there is still a lot of work ahead of the company, and one of the items planned for this year is the release of Mortal Kombat 12.

The year of brawlers

Admittedly, we do not know the official release date of the game, but we assume that it will go on sale in the second half of the year. This is because the debut of Street Fighter 6 is scheduled for June. In turn, at the end of 2023 and the beginning of 2024 may see the launch of out the highly anticipated Tekken 8 (although we are leaning more and more towards next year's release).

Fans' anticipation for novelties

For fans of fighting games, news of a new installment of Mortal Kombat is something to rejoice. Previous part debut in 2019, and many gamers have long expressed hope for the imminent release of a successor.
