Hogwarts Legacy Sells Outstandingly; Exact Numbers Revealed
We learned the exact sales results of Hogwarts Legacy. The game is doing even better than last year's Elden Ring.
In recent weeks, there has been much talk about the success of Hogwarts Legacy, but until now we did not have concrete data regarding sales results. Now this has finally changed.
As announced by the publisher Warner Bros., in the two weeks since its release, sales of Hogwarts Legacy exceeded 12 million copies.
- Revenues from the game have already totaled more than $850 million.
- Such results mean that Hogwarts Legacy is selling even better than last year's Elden Ring, which needed almost three weeks to cross the 12 million copies sold threshold.
- Hogwarts Legacy scored the biggest debut in the history of Warner Bros. Games.
- The game also set a new record on Twitch in the category of single player productions - at the hottest moment of the release day, broadcasts from Hogwarts Legacy were watched there by 1.28 million people simultaneously.
- The game's success is fueling interest in the brand as a whole. In the first ten days of February, the Wizarding World website recorded 300% higher activity than standard.
It is worth noting that on February 10 Hogwarts Legacy made its debut on PC and Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PlayStation 5. Xbox One and PlayStation 4 owners have to wait until April 4 for its release, and Nintendo Switch users - until July 25. So the game's sales results will undoubtedly increase a lot. The day before yesterday we wrote about crossing the threshold of 20 million copies by Elden Ring one year after its release. It seems that Hogwarts Legacy should have no problem reaching that ceiling sooner.
