Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov has made an important appeal to the gaming community and big gaming companies. He urges them to join the fight against Russia.

Appeal to the gaming community

In a post shared on Facebook, Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister calls on big companies, esports organizations and the entire gaming community to stand up to the Russian aggressor.

Fedorov writes that they should not passively observe the current events, but join the efforts of the whole world in helping his country. He asks them to disable gaming services on the invader's territory, block Russian users and close their local offices.

The Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine is addressing big companies such as Riot Games, Activision Blizzard, Rockstar Games, Valve, Epic Games, EA and even GOG.com.

Fedorov also calls for temporary banning of Russian and Belarusian accounts and suspension of esports players. He also includes the cancellation of all upcoming gaming events that were supposed to take place in those countries.

Many companies have already expressed support to the cause. This is the sixth day of the war in Ukraine. Any pressure on the aggressor helps and hopefully brings the conflict closer to deescalation.
