- The latest issue of EDGE magazine brings fresh information about Hollow Knight: Silksong.
- The developers promise to improve the gameplay formula by developing the story layer.
Hollow Knight: Silksong is a response to the criticism of the previous installment of the game from Team Cherry. The game has become the main focus of latest issue of the EDGE magazine, and we've learned a handful of interesting information that hasn't been published anywhere before.
Since the first announcement of the spin-off to Hollow Knight, Team Cherry has provided hardly any information. Although the first trailer calmed down the fans of the original and confirmed that the core of the gameplay will remain the same. However, how the studio would like to develop its series remained unknown.
Fortunately, the new issue of EDGE magazine brings some answers. The biggest novelty in the narrative will be providing the characters with recoided voices. The studio admitted that this has enabled the devs to enhance them with more character. The story will be more condensed and will depart from a certain openness of the original.
A lot of time was also devoted to the gameplay, which in the opinion of many people is the jewel in Hollow Knight's crown. Silksong will increase the pace and difficulty level. The new protagonist - Hornet - will move a little faster, getting past obstacles with greater proficiency. The game will also be more difficult. Developers have admitted that most of the time we will have to balance between a full and empty health bar. Our life will be made miserable by new opponents with a wider range of moves.
If you had any hope of any information about the release date, even suggested, then, unfortunately, we have bad news. Team Cherry hasn't mentioned anything in this matter. So it remains to be hoped that Hollow Knight: Silksong will actually appear in 2021.
