New hints have arrived in Cookie Jam. And if you can’t figure out “Gouda, Brie, Feta, Gruyere” on your own, let’s solve it together.

The first few hints from this weekend covered all sorts of topics, but now the theme is clearly shifting toward food. If you’ve already tackled the “Long thin Italian pasta” and “Many petals, tasty seeds” Buzzwords in Cookie Jam, it’s time to answer the next one: “Gouda, Brie, Feta, Gruyere.” But there’s no need to puzzle it out alone. Here’s a little help.
This one was pretty straightforward, but if you're just looking for a little reassurance, here it is:
Gouda is a semi-hard to hard cheese that originated in the Netherlands and is one of the most popular cheeses in the world. It's named after the city of Gouda.
Brie is a soft, creamy cheese that originated in France, specifically in the region of Brie, just east of Paris. It's one of the most famous French cheeses and is often referred to as the “Queen of Cheeses.”
Feta is a crumbly, salty white cheese traditionally made in Greece. It's one of the oldest cheeses in the world and holds PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) status in the European Union, meaning only feta made in specific regions of Greece using traditional methods can be officially called “feta.”
Gruyere is a firm, smooth-melting cheese from Switzerland, named after the town of Gruyeres in the canton of Fribourg. It's a staple in many classic Swiss and French dishes, especially where rich, melty cheese is needed.
That’s it for the cheese facts from me. Don’t forget to check out our other Cookie Jam guides, we add answers to new Buzzwords every week.

Been with gamepressure.com since 2019, mostly writing game guides but you can also find me geeking out about LEGO (huge collection, btw). Love RPGs and classic RTSs, also adore quirky indie games. Even with a ton of games, sometimes I just gotta fire up Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley, KOTOR, or Baldur's Gate 2 (Shadows of Amn, the OG, not that Throne of Bhaal stuff). When I'm not gaming, I'm probably painting miniatures or admiring my collection of retro consoles.
