If you’re struggling to find the answer to this Cookie Jam Buzzword on your own, here’s a little help. Let’s tackle “Fruit or color, mind the pit” together.
After solving “Wear it to the beach” and “Fast boat that skips across the water” in Cookie Jam, we were hit with a strange one: “What a cow feels like after a bumpy road.” If you managed to answer that, you're ready for another Buzzword challenge of this weekend. “Fruit or color, mind the pit” sounds tough to crack, so let me help you with that.
Just when I thought the last one was a real head-scratcher they threw this one at us. Plenty of fruits have large pits, and just as often, their names double as colors. But since we don’t have every letter in the alphabet to choose from, the right answer is:
Plums are a type of stone fruit, which means they have a single large pit or seed in the center, surrounded by juicy flesh. They come from the Prunus genus, which also includes cherries, apricots, peaches, and almonds.
The skin of a plum can be deep purple, red, blue-black, or even yellow or green, depending on the variety. The flesh inside ranges from amber to ruby red. But plum as a color typically refers to a rich, dark purplish hue.
Plums are likely one of the first fruits domesticated by humans, with origins tracing back to China, Europe, and the Caucasus region. They’ve been grown for thousands of years and appear in ancient writings from Greece and Rome.
Make sure to check out our other Cookie Jam guides. You can find answers for Buzzwords like “Long thin Italian pasta,” or “Many petals, tasty seeds.” we don’t have separate guides for every hint, we won’t leave you hanging on these: for “The hottest season,” the answer is Summer. And for “Someone who prepares and serves coffee,” it’s Barista.

Been with gamepressure.com since 2019, mostly writing game guides but you can also find me geeking out about LEGO (huge collection, btw). Love RPGs and classic RTSs, also adore quirky indie games. Even with a ton of games, sometimes I just gotta fire up Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley, KOTOR, or Baldur's Gate 2 (Shadows of Amn, the OG, not that Throne of Bhaal stuff). When I'm not gaming, I'm probably painting miniatures or admiring my collection of retro consoles.
