Observer from Layers of Fear devs launches next month

Next month, horror genre enthusiasts will get a chance to delve into another disturbing game from Layers of Fear developer, Poland-based studio Bloober Team. This one is going to take us into a dystopian version of Cracow of 2084.

The next horror game from Layers of Fear creators, Poland-based studio Bloober Team, has got a release date. Observer is going to launch on August 15, 2017 for PC (Windows, Linux), Mac, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Before that happens, Bloober Team will show a playable version of the game at Comic Con in San Diego, which starts tomorrow and runs through the weekend (July 20-23, 2017). If you happen to swing by, seek for Observer at Lionsgate’s booth.

Observer (stylized as >observer_) is a first-person psychological horror featuring a dystopian, cyberpunk vision of the future, set in Cracow, Poland, 2084. The player assumes the role of a titular observer, i.e. a neural detective hired by an elite corporate-funded police unit, able to hack into minds of criminals. The main protagonist, Daniel Lazarski, is starred by Rutger Hauer, the actor known from the role of replicant Roy Batty in Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner. In order to solve a mystery of a personal dimension, he needs to search for clues in seedy slums of Cracow and relive some dark memories and fears of suspects and victims.
