Ori and the Blind Forest Devs are Working on New RPG
The creators of platform game Ori and the Blind Forest (and its continuation, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, which will debut next year) are looking for employees for a new project. Their next work will be an action RPG and, according to the developers, is to revolutionize the genre.
A job offer on Gamasutra suggests that Moon Studios, the creators of Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps (the latter will debut in March), are working on a new title. Their next work will be an action RPG. Developers have an ambitious goal to revolutionize this species.
"You’ve played and studied RPGs your whole life and you still can’t get enough of them. You have a love for all things Diablo, Zelda, Dark Souls and other games in the genre. You’d love the opportunity to work on an RPG that dares to innovate and go far beyond what the genre has offered players thus far" reads the candidate description in the ad.
Interestingly, the company is looking for employees all over the world, the developers work remotely, so the position does not require moving to Austria (where Moon Studios is located). So if you have experience in gamedev (this is one of the conditions indicated by your employer) and are interested in revolutionizing the RPG genre, nothing stands in the way of trying your hand.
Unfortunately, for the time being we don't have any specifics about the RPG from Ori devs, we don't know the target platforms, release date or even the title.
