Paid Items From AC Valhalla Available for Free Thanks to Mods

AC Valhalla's PC fans share a way to unlock all items from the game's premium shop. Thanks to several tricks they acquired access to paid costumes and other cosmetic accessories that have not yet been officially announced by the developers.

Released almost a month ago, Assassin's Creed: Valhalla is not only the fastest-selling installment of the series, but also its longest installment. Despite the record-breaking interest in the title, Ubisoft did not resign from various monetization techniques, offering a number of microtransactions and small DLCs already on the day of launch. As one could easily guess, PC modders found an easy way to access the entire game content for free.

Fans took advantage of the so-called cheat engine available on Nexus Mods, which with a little effort will unlock for us packs of add-ons worth a total of hundreds of dollars or many hours spent on tedious collecting of various types of virtual resources. Gamers have thus gained access to all bonus costumes for Eivor. What's more, they also received limited items, which could be received, e.g. by watching Assassin's Creed's Twitch streams. By the way, the modders managed to discover and activate a few yet officially unpublished skins, which were hidden in the game files. These include Ezio Auditore's outfit.

The relative ease with which it was possible to access the entire game content is one of the biggest fears of the publishers, who for this reason very often insist on making restrictions in the form of obligatory Internet connection, even in titles without any multiplayer mode.

There is no need to convince anyone that paid costumes, additional items, and various types of microtransactions in single-player games serve only the devs. In addition, remember that they prey only on a small percentage of game owners who are willing to spend money on such attractions. All kinds of packs with experience boosters and virtual currencies, for which Ubisoft's games are known, also directly influence the gameplay. In many cases, it is deliberately designed to make the purchase of additional resources as attractive as possible to an alternative of long hours of grind.
