Palworld is a new Steam hit. This game about unique creatures, which brings in mind Pokemon, is really popular. In an hour from its release, it gathered more than 100 000 players. We can’t forget that the game is also available on other platforms, too, especially Game Pass. While thousands of people enjoy the title, some of them can’t. Many players report a problem with black screen. Luckily, there is an easy solution to that.
It seems that developers have fixed the issue, at least they have announced it on X:
Hotfix!
We have fixed the problem where the game was dark and unplayable.
It was occurring for some players depending on the player's network environment.
If you encounter this problem, please apply the hotfix and wait at least 10 seconds after starting the game.

About the bug "the game goes dark and does not start" we are currently receiving inquiries about, it has been confirmed in the development environment that "the game starts up to the opening by waiting for 10 minutes". Very sorry for the inconvenience, but please try this!!
If you experience a black screen in Palworld, you are among many unfortunate souls. Luckily, there is a fix which helped many players – just open the game as an administrator.
