Information has spread across the internet that Nvidia requires age verification for the Nvidia App. This is a false alarm caused by a bug.
Age verification on the Internet is currently one of the most discussed topics online. Some companies are implementing their own solutions, while the European Union is working on a system for all member countries. It seemed like even Nvidia started doing something, and not in a user-friendly way. One screenshot suggested that we must be 18 years old to use the Nvidia App (via Game GPU).
On August 2nd, a vtuber named Dooblain, who isn't 18 years old, posted a screenshot on X. According to the displayed message, the user must be of legal age to use the Nvidia App. In theory, it's not a big deal because you don't have to log in to the application to update your graphics card drivers, but there are concerns that this might change soon.

Comments and content quickly appeared on the Internet, suggesting that Nvidia might be planning something. Such company's actions would be related to age restrictions imposed by other corporations or governments. The displayed message is nothing new, however.
The Vtuber has seriously upset the community on X, but it's worth understanding that the whole situation is not that simple. First of all, the message has nothing to do with the new law in the UK, because Dooblain lives in Mexico. Second, one of the internet users shed some light on the situation in a comment under the vtuber's post.
Found a forum post from 4 years ago with the exact same. It was for trying to play an 18 game through GForce NOW.
Meanwhile, another player wrote that he logged out of the Nvidia App and logged back in. The only thing he encountered was information about two-step verification. There were no age-related restrictions for the user.
It seems that the Nvidia message related to gaming on GeForce Now has incorrect content. Instead of mentioning the cloud service, it informs about the default app for managing your graphics card. However, the blockade itself shouldn't surprise anyone. If Nvidia allowed minors to play 18+ games, it would face huge legal problems.
