Epic Trolled Fortnite Data Miners

As it turns out, speculations about a crossover between Fortnite and Family Guy were debunked. The alleged Peter Griffin skin turned out to be only a joke by the creators.

All of you waiting for a collaboration between Fortnite and Family Guy might be disappointed. According to one of the leakers associated with Epic Games' title, the whole thing was just a prank by the developers. They wanted to pull a fast one on the data miners browsing the game files in search of sensation.

The possibility of the appearance of this cartoon character in Fortnite was first discussed earlier this year, when data miners discovered someting named "French Fry", which contained an image indicating the appearance of a Peter Griffin skin - the main character from the animated series Family Guy. Although the appearance of this character sounds absurd, and Griffin does not fit very well with the general vibe of game, fans were eagerly waiting for his appearance.

As the months passed, however, "French Fry" and Griffin remained a mystery. In May, another discovery was made - data miners noticed that the file with the cartoon artwork had been removed. This was seen as an imminent announcement of Griffin's introduction to the canon of pop culture heroes who have graced the servers of Fortnite with their presence. However, nothing like that has happened, and now in light of the words of leaker FNBRUnreleased it seems that this is the end of the story. However, it can not be ruled out that Epic Games will one day change its mind and something that started as a joke will become a fact, and players will take part in battle royale matches as Peter Griffin.
