Cyberpunk 2077's developer tweeted hardware advice on the upcoming update 2.0 and Phantom Liberty expansion.
Soon Cyberpunk 2077 will receive update 2.0, which will completely will rebuild some of the game's systems, and will also affect its optimization. Moreover, as it were, the update accompanying Phantom Liberty will raise the game's system requirements.
Accordingly, one of CD Projekt's lead developers, Filip Pierscinski, has a hardware tip for PC gamers (via Twitter/X). The developer admitted that on the occasion of the "refurbished" Cyberpunk the developers maximized CPU usage, therefore it will be important to test the efficiency of cooling systems. For this purpose, Pierscinski suggests using Cinebench or a similar application.
At the occasion of the entry, the developer posted a telling video for the song Fire, which clearly suggests that using inefficient or faulty cooling while playing the new version of "Cyber" can mean a lot of trouble for the PC.
This thread interested gamers so much that they began to inquire from the developer on topics related to hardware and CP2077 2.0's requirements.
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty will debut on September 26 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Update 2.0 should be released around the same time (we'll learn the exact date this week).
