The day after the introduction of patch 0.2.0f to Path of Exile 2, the developers from Grinding Gear Games studio announced the first changes they intend to include in the next 0.2.0g update.

Right now, we don't know when the patch is going to be released, but the devs want it to happen as soon as possible. However, they maintain flexibility in this matter due to the upcoming Easter holidays and Anzac Day, a national holiday in New Zealand, which is on April 25th.

Path of Exile 2 - what's new in 0.2.0g update

The main goal of patch 0.2.0g is to address two "highly desired improvements and a range of other minor or moderate changes."

The first major update should greatly please the PoE 2 community, as it is one of the most criticized elements - the quality of the loot. The creators intend to raise it slightly and for this purpose, three changes will be introduced:

  1. tempering unlucky streaks from bosses in the campaign by raising the lower limit of the quality of their loot;
  2. increase in the overall quality of loot from bosses;
  3. improvement of loot from monsters enhanced by the Azmerian Wisps mechanic.

The second major change will concern corrupted nexuses in the Atlas. These are hard to find, causing many players to progress to higher map levels much quicker than they can finish them. As a result, the number of nexuses needed to acquire all Atlas points will be reduced, and their visibility in the fog on the map will be improved.

Besides these two main improvements, GGG also announced an improvement in the accessibility of "pinnacle" content. They will achieve this by lowering the difficulty of Simulacrum, enhancing rewards, and reducing difficulty spikes from the remnants in Expedition mechanics.

It should be noted that the above changes are just some of those that will be introduced in patch 0.2.0g. We will get to know the rest later.
