Sony has published on the PlayStation blog info about a new feature to improve the quality of games running on the PS5 console. We are talking about VRR, which stands for Variable Refresh Rate. The update will positively affect the comfort of players, minimizing or eliminating visual artifacts, and will solve problems with frame synchronization and the impression of screen tearing.
The change will begin to be made available to gamers worldwide this week. For VRR to work, make sure your PS5 is connected to an HDMI 2.1 compatible TV or monitor, and be sure to download the update.

According to the blog, VRR will be enabled even if a game doesn't support it, although this may cause unexpected visual effects. We can only hope that over time, more and more game developers will be tempted to incorporate this feature into their titles.
