Red Dead Redemption GTA V mod taken down by Take-Two

Desperate to see Red Dead Redemption on PC, fans have been creating a mod that would port the mod into GTA V. Unfortunatelly, Take-Two didn't like that idea.

An interesting fan project to port Red Dead Redemption onto Grand Theft Auto V’s engine has been taken down by Rockstar Games’ publisher Take-Two. Entitled Red Dead Redemption V, the mod had been in development for three years before its authors were contacted by the IP’s owners, project leader Mr. Leisurewear explained on GTA forums:

I know this is a hard pill to swallow, but as you may have noticed we did get contacted, and we sadly have to say we are stopping this project. So thanks guys, we were all so happy to see this, but it isn't going to happen, sorry.

Red Dead Redemption V was a RDR mod for GTA V.

Lately, a couple of screenshots from the mod were shared online as well as a trailer, however, the latter was soon pulled down. PC players have long been looking for any news on a Red Dead Redemption port, but so far their hopes have been in vain. The only way you can play the game on your computer is by means of PlayStation Now. It seems that Take-Two has no intention of preparing a PC version of Red Dead Redemption and won’t let fans do it for themselves. We only hope that the publisher will eventually come round to releasing Red Dead Redemption 2 for the platform.
